About Squadron 42 Guide
Squadron 42 Guide is an independent fan resource that tracks one game: Squadron 42, the single-player campaign from Cloud Imperium Games. The site exists to answer the practical questions around a launch that is still ahead of us - what is confirmed, when the window is, what hardware it asks for, and how to be ready for it.
What this site is not
It is not affiliated with Cloud Imperium Games, Roberts Space Industries or any of their partners, and it is not a storefront. Nothing here is for sale, and nothing here speaks for the developers. The official sources for the game itself remain the Steam listing, the RSI comm-link, and the official Squadron 42 channels.
How the pages are sourced
Every factual claim on this site traces back to an official or dated source: the Steam store listing and its metadata, CIG's own comm-links and trailers, the official Squadron 42 website, and reporting from established outlets when it documents a statement by CIG. Where something is a reading of the material rather than a statement, the text says so - and where nothing public exists, the page stays quiet rather than filling the gap with rumour.
Release windows are tracked as what they are: quarters and letters, dated. That policy is why the site keeps a dated timeline instead of a countdown clock.
Imagery and trademarks
All game imagery on this site is official promotional material from the Steam listing and the official Squadron 42 website, used to illustrate coverage of the game. Squadron 42, Star Citizen and all related marks belong to Cloud Imperium Games.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, stale, or worth adding, the contact page is the way in. Corrections that come with a source get priority - this is a tracking site, and tracking means keeping up.
